Peczuh Printing (pronounced PZ printing) is looking for a full-time Assistant Press Operator to start with us asap! 

What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like (Duties and Responsibilities):    

Machine Feeds -

• Loading and monitoring the paper product, ensuring the paper supply is sufficient for each job
• Moving paper to and from machine

Machine Maintenance -

• Performing maintenance
• Lubricating press
• Assist with roller removal and replacement
• Maintaining proper ink levels, including filling to appropriate levels as necessary
• Managing waste boxes
• Opening and staging skis

Pre and Post Production -

• Retrieving printing plates
• Monitoring plate status, including removing and recycling old plates

Other -

• Assisting with fountain clean-up
• Helping with machine wash-up and cleaning press

The Environment Looks Like:

This job operates in a production environment, meaning the employee regularly works near moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees in this position may be advised or required to utilize personal protective equipment including but not limited to ear protection, eye protection, lifting equipment and protective smocks. 

Requirements

What You’ll Need To Succeed (Required):

• Ability to read and follow job specifications
• Demonstrate good communication skills
• Ability to take instruction with regards to press setup, operation and maintenance
• Basic knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials
• Comfortable operating hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers and hydraulic feed mechanisms

Physically You’ll Need To Be Able To:

• Stand for long periods of time
• Perform such functions as frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, stretching and crouching
• Lift up to 75 lbs
• Use fine motor skills to detect quality issues and identify color recognition and differentiation

You’ll Stand Out If You (Preferred):

• Have 1-2 years of experience in the printing industry
