Join our team and be part of an exciting new coffee shop and general store in Morristown, NJ. General Coffee Co will feature a specialty coffee bar, chef prepared meals and fresh pastries within an eco-conscious environment. We are looking for talented, high-energy, and self-motivated baristas to join our opening team.

Essential barista duties include:

• Prepare beverages for customers, meeting quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service: Engaging with guests, learning regular customer’s orders, providing education to customers about menu items.
• Develop a thorough knowledge about our coffees and their origins/flavor profiles.
• Taste and dial in coffee as needed.
• Take orders: Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests and dietary preferences are communicated to team members.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using the café’s POS system. Handle cash and card transactions with integrity and attention to detail.
• Maintains a clean environment within local, state, and federal sanitation guidelines.
• Stocks and merchandises café in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications:

• Excellent listening and communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and customers.
• One year of barista experience at a coffee shop or café
• Strong teamwork abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail to manage specific customer requests as well as a high-volume beverage assembly line with minimal errors.
• Flexibility with schedule. Weekends and holidays may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
