Project Angel Food is a dynamic, fast-growing non-profit in Hollywood that cooks and home-delivers free meals to people throughout Los Angeles County who are living with serious illnesses. We were founded in 1989, and since then we have delivered more than 17 million meals to more than 30,000 clients. Since early 2020, we have grown more than 40 percent, to 2,600 clients, now delivering more than 1.5 million meals per year. And we are working hard to expand to meet the great demand for our services.
The Client Services Manager Job
The role of Client Services Manager is crucial.
Under the supervision of the Director of Programs & Strategy, you will help lead the team that interacts with clients, applicants, and their supporters on a daily basis. Our clients depend on us.

Responsibilities
· Under the supervision of the Director for Programs & Strategy, oversight of the core Client Services functions of Project Angel Food. This includes responding to inquiries, reviewing applications, determining eligibility, addressing daily delivery issues, recertifying clients, and processing client feedback.
· Supervising and managing the core team of professional Client Services staff, fostering excellence and morale, and facilitating professional development and success.
· Day-to-day interaction with clients and effective problem-solving. Keeping grounded in compassion and hospitality, putting clients first, and going above-and-beyond for them. Compliance with privacy and other applicable laws.
· Helping to develop procedures and policies and related training for efficient and productive work of the Client Services team in an organization growing in size and complexity. Helping to identify and track metrics to show program success.
· Collaborating with internal staff from peer departments such as Nutrition Services, Dispatch (Delivery), Volunteer Services, Grants, and Communications to serve clients, tell their stories, and achieve Project Angel Food’s strategic goals.
· Outreach to and relationship-building with community partners, to showcase Project Angel Food programs, including occasional presentations.
· Helping to creatively optimize the use of database software and other technology to accomplish our mission.
· Assisting with projects as assigned, including participating collaborating with staff responsible for our portfolio of grants and health care partnerships.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with emphasis in Business, Social Work, Public Health, Public Policy, Nutrition, or related pertinent field.
· Experience in successfully managing customer service operations and employees, especially in non-profit and health care. A leader.
· Proven organizational and critical thinking skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail. Creative and innovative in crafting solutions.
· Excellent verbal and written communication, with bi-lingual fluency in Spanish and English a plus.
· Skills to work effectively independently and also to collaborate with colleagues across departments and across levels of seniority, internally and externally.
· Fluency in Microsoft Office suite. Experience using client relations management software.
· Eagerness to participate in a rapidly evolving and growing business.

Terms and Benefits
Full time, exempt position with a salary of $70,000 to $75,000 per year.
Regular evaluations by supervisor.
Adherence to Project Angel Food policies and procedures.
