Food Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Monitors inventory levels and purchases food, kitchen equipment, and other supplies as needed. Being a Food Services Manager provides related training and supervises service staff. Establishes quality standards for foods and maintains cleanliness of the facilities in accordance with state or local regulations. Additionally, Food Services Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. This is a working assistant management position, assisting in managing 3-4 employees with a guaranteed work week of not less than 45 hours per week, year round, regardless of the weather.
Maintain Equipment - Maintain and service equipment by removing dirt, washing and greasing parts, changing blades, and fueling. Perform preventative maintenance of equipment to include push mowers, pressure washer, chain saw, pole saw, tiller, back pack blowers, hand and power tools, chemical sprayers, zero turn and reel mower.
Safety Measures - Comply with city, state, and federal safety procedures and protocols in the performance of job duties to include reporting all accidents, incidents, and injuries witnessed or incurred. Ensure equipment and property safety, as well as routine inspection of equipment.
Qualifications - Job Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Over two years of management experience in landscaping, grounds management maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience operating equipment such as skid steer, dump trailer, and reel mower.
2. SC non-commercial pesticide license.
Drivers License Requirements:
Valid SC Class D Drivers License at hire.
Performance Requirements - Knowledge of:
1. Safe equipment operating practices/procedures.
2. Landscape and turf management best practices.
3. Read papers, journals, safety date sheets (SDS), manuals, policies, and other reference materials.
4. Use of smart table, computer, and work management systems required.
Physical Demands - heavy strength, demands exerting up to 20# constantly, 20#-50# frequently.
Mental Demands - requires frequent change of tasks, working closely with others as part of a team. Occasionally requires performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
