Food Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Monitors inventory levels and purchases food, kitchen equipment, and other supplies as needed. Being a Food Services Manager provides related training and supervises service staff. Establishes quality standards for foods and maintains cleanliness of the facilities in accordance with state or local regulations. Additionally, Food Services Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Food Services Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.   • We are seeking a Manager of Food Services to join our Farnum team! The individual in this key position will have the following responsibilities:   Reporting to the Director of Food Services, oversee all aspects of food service Meet operational and budgetary objectives as established by supervisor. Collaborate with Director on menu planning.  Order, receive and arrange food storage of food items, paper and cleaning supplies; then code and process all invoices. Maintain sanitary working and food preparation conditions in accordance with State and local health requirements.   Maintain required records of the operations and provide Easterseals administration and state officials requested operational data on a timely and accurate basis. Implement operational guidelines that will ensure that customers will receive a high standard of service and nutritious food. Work in the kitchen preparing and serving hot and cold foods. Schedule and arrange for coverage of all kitchen-staffing needs seven days per week. Ensure Federal, State, Local and Agency standards are met. Maintain food allergy list for all clients. Work collaboratively with clinical staff on client needs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field, culinary arts preferred, OR Two (2) years college in related field and four (4) years related experience Two (2) years of food service industry experience Two (2) years supervisory experience Food Safe Certified Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Hours: Sunday - Thursday; hours will vary each day between 9am - 630pm depending on program needs. Compensation: Salaried, exempt position with an annual salary of $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience.
