Job Summary: | The Food and Beverage Services Supervisor will work with and support the General Manager of the Atherton Hotel and management team for the Atherton Hotel and Ranchers' Club, in particular the Chef de Cuisine, Assistant Manager of the Ranchers' Club and the Catering Manager of the Ranchers' Club. This position needs to possess and demonstrate core competencies in restaurant supervision and must be knowledgeable in restaurant sales, food and bar production, mixology, front of the house management, and administrative and operational management. Must be able to demonstrate well rounded staff supervision and excellent communicative customer service skills. Must have a clear and precise understanding of food and beverage inventory controls and daily revenue account procedures. The Food and Beverage Services Supervisor will work to support and continue to maintain a dynamic, upscale restaurant and bar operations. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Carry out other duties as assigned. |

Position Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant and Administration/Marketing/Business Two years of experience in the areas of hospitality, retail, restaurant, or catering. Two years in a supervisory role. Driver's License required before hire. Food handler's permit/Serv Safe Certification and Liquor license required within 90 days of hire. Demonstrates ability in supervising and training employees, strong organizational skills, communication and problem-solving skills, service presentation, sales and event planning and implementation, scheduling and standardization. Must have the ability to organize and communicate many details in a timely and thorough fashion. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must possess mixologist skills and thorough knowledge of wines and spirits, domestic and international. Must have outstanding organizational skills and have the ability to adjust quickly to changes and to deal with stressful situations while maintaining composure. Must be able to provide a positive work environment to all the restaurant and bar staff. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration/Marketing/Business/Beverage Program. Two years of experience in the areas of hospitality, retail, restaurant management and catering with a focus in specialized beverage program. |
