This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.

Position Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising the ALU/SNF/SCU Food Service staff. The Responsibilities for this position include assisting with the management of the kitchen and dining rooms and overseeing the service of meals to residents.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $20.50 to $25.36/hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Directly supervises the food service employees working in the ALU/SNF dining rooms.  Acts as the Assistant Manager of Food Services (Dining Room) in the absence of the current incumbent or on his/her scheduled days off.

• Assists in the orientation of all new employees which includes: on-the-job training, adherence to policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.

• Assists in ordering supplies, maintaining an appropriate inventory, and ensuring proper storage of foods and kitchen supplies.

• Maintains standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the food services department.

• Schedules wait staff for appropriate coverage.  Insures that appropriate levels of coverage are maintained at all times.

• Provides appropriate supervision to staff in accordance with the Eskaton Village prime values and established mission statement.

Qualifications

Education:
Must possess a High School diploma.  Must also have a Food Service Management Degree or Dietary Assistant Level II or Technician Certificate preferred.

Training and Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year work experience supervising food service operations.

Job Knowledge:
Ability to understand and work harmoniously with residents, staff and healthcare professionals.  Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards.  PC knowledge is helpful but not required.

The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen.  All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
