Food Services Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Maintains food storage level and report when it's low. Additionally, Food Services Supervisor maintains cleanliness of working area and the facilities. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Food Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Also, is responsible for establishing staffing schedules for the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments, for hiring and supervising these staff members, and for ordering supplies and coding bills within the budget.

    Job Requirements:

    • Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have a minimum of two years’ supervisory experience, in a healthcare related position preferred.
    • Training in maintenance or building codes is preferred, must be licensed to operate a boiler or working towards achieving licensure.
