- Technical expert in broad area of planning
- Formulates policies to carry out and implement activities.
- Formulates strategies that support objectives and activities of a broad area of planning or changes in direction and new initiatives.
- Provide expert direction to management on planning activities.
- Coordinates public and private health services to reduce duplication of services, strengthen existing services and address the needs of the community. Evaluates existing programs.
- Work closely with upper management for annual re-accreditation for the Public Health Accreditation Board. This would include describing how the organization is meeting, exceeding, or working on the standards and measures for maintaining a competent public health workforce and data infrastructure to support public health activities.
- Strengthen workforce by developing and facilitating trainings focused on supervisory skills, for both aspiring and new supervisors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
At least three years’ experience as a planner OR at least three years’ experience in a planning function.
Experience in having responsibility for a most complex planning project (complexity is to be determined based on variables such as discipline, population, fiscal impact, geographic area, social impact, planning horizon, public involvement, research and analysis, and the nature of the project team).
Three years’ experience in health or human services work such as applying theories, principles, laws and practices of health or human services programs and services that assist with and improve life for individuals, families, or communities.
Six months experience in health or human services program administration such as planning and establishing short- and long-range program goals and objectives.
Six months experience in developing policies and procedures.
Two years’ experience in delivering training or education courses, services, individual or group activities using a variety of materials and equipment such as exercises, handouts, manuals, laptops, audiovisual or specialized equipment.
One year of experience in researching, selecting and designing courses, curricula, lesson plans, instructional methods, materials, or activities to meet training or education needs and learning objectives.
