Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelors preferred; High school diploma considered

Multilingual experience preferred but not required

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

Experience working with students in an educational setting

Willingness to teach multilingual students to acquire the English language

Cooperative, able to support supervising teachers and other staff members 

Ability to incorporate technology and other innovative strategies in instruction

Skills in interpersonal communication with parents, students, teachers, and the general public

Outstanding references from current and former supervisors

Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report

Additional consideration will be given to applicants who are interested in becoming certified to teach through the Voorhees Network for Enhanced Teaching Program (V-NET). Length of Contract: 185 days/7 hours per day
