We’re looking for someone who will demonstrate understanding of the socio-ecological opportunities and challenges in Connecticut and approach conservation decisions with a diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice lens.

The Network Manager will be an integral member of The Nature Conservancy – Connecticut Urban Conservation team. Our vision is to achieve greener, more resilient cities in Connecticut through the expansion of the urban forest and canopy cover within the communities where we work. The vision is to address inequities in access to nature in Connecticut cities through meaningful engagement and collaboration with the community at large, anchor institutions, and other stakeholders implementing impactful conservation efforts. • BA/BS, law or business degree and 5 years’ experience in natural resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
• Experience using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Web Browsers.
• Real estate license (if required).
• Experience with principles of land acquisition.
• Experience in training and curriculum design.

Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $77,000-$83,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
