Forest Aide gathers and analyzes data regarding overall condition of forest tracts. May provide supervision to seasonal workers. Being a Forest Aide educates visitors on forest policies and regulations. Requires a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Forest Aide has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. This position is located on the Rocky Mountain Research Station located in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Serves as a technical assistant responsible for the collection, organization, and analysis of data for botanical species and plant habitats on a National Forest or Grassland.
