Forest and Conservation Worker reforests and protects timber tracts and maintains forest facilities including roads and campsites. Applies a wide range of concepts. Being a Forest and Conservation Worker applies practical knowledge of practices and procedures from two or more specialized fields, such as forestry, soil science and/or agriculture. May require 2-4 years of related work experience. Additionally, Forest and Conservation Worker relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Candidates must possess an appropriate Master’s degree (Ph.D. or D.V.M./V.M.D. preferred) or Laboratory Animal work experience and AALAS certification and experience teaching at the college level. Candidates with out-of-field degrees must have earned a minimum of 15 graduate credits in the area of teaching assignment.
Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within
the last 5 years. These clearances could include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania Patch, FBI Fingerprints completed by IDENTGO,
and the Child Abuse History clearance.
