May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Forester is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Forester performs a variety of complicated tasks. Generally manages exempt and nonexempt employees. Typically reports to the head of a unit/department. FORESTER
Responsible for the overall management of properties both large and small, development of new clients, forest inventory, forest appraisal, forest management plans, timber sale administration, planting, etc.
Skills desired (not all positions require all of these skills)
Some of these job duties may be done remotely, but a Forester must also be able to travel and work within Wisconsin at times.
