Duties

• Coordinate, formulate, and execute the management of forest resources on approximately 80,000 acres of Project Lands.
• Prepare and implement the long-range Forest Management Plan at J. Strom Thurmond Project.
• Develop plans, direct fire protection, and direct the prescribed burning program.
• Implement management activities that benefit environmental protection, water quality, recreation, soils, wildlife, and land development.

• Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 10% may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a USACE boat operator's license within1 year.
• Must be able to obtain a Georgia or South Carolina Professional Foresters License within 1 year.
• Must have or able to obtain Title 36 Citation Authority within 1 year.
