Job Description: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handles all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading / unloading of RJW truck / trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensures all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; performs duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
· Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing
Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner
· Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
· Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
· Verify orders are complete and accurate.
· Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and insure product safety.
· Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-6 months in Material Handler.
· Minimum 3-6 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
· Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
· Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
· PC literate with.
Education and/or Experience Required:
· High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
