Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Compensation: $40/hr - $43/hr; or $50,000 - $54,000/annually (prorated from $83,000 - $89,000/ annual full-time equivalent salary)

You are a mission-driven, relationship and results-oriented entrepreneurial professional with a growth mindset seeking to join our growing development team. You take joy in closing gifts and in expanding a robust network of donors and partners across Western MA. You will collaborate across the organization with all teams, the dynamic Development Committee, and external stakeholders.

We drive innovation at the local, state, and national levels to create better lives for children and youth who have lived in foster care.
We support a national ReEnvisioning Foster Care movement. This work elevates lived-experience leaders and includes a national conference and podcast. Treehouse crafted the blueprint for community living that helps kids thrive. We build affordable housing that brings three generations together. Children excel in an entire neighborhood dedicated to their well-being. Older adults find new purpose as “honorary grandparents.” Each generation invests in each other with the support of on-site staff and programming. Our first neighborhood opened in Easthampton, MA in 2006. A second site in Boston is underway and national expansion plans are in development.

Benefits & Compensation
This is a part-time, 24 hour per week exempt hourly position. The annual pay range is $50,000 - $54,000, prorated from an annual full-time salary of $83,000, commensurate with experience. This position is hybrid, with 1 day on-site in our Easthampton, Massachusetts, office, and 2 days remote per week. Occasional travel to Boston, Massachusetts and occasional evening and weekend hours for events required.
