Fraud Detection Associate monitors account activity to detect possible customer fraud. Performs analysis to identify possible front-end and/or back-end fraud. Being a Fraud Detection Associate identifies areas for increased security procedures and reports to fraud prevention associates. May contact customers to verify or explain unusual account activity. Additionally, Fraud Detection Associate requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Fraud Detection Associate possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.      American Leak Detection is seeking out highly motivated individuals looking for a full-time career as a Water Leak Detection Technician to perform electronic water leak detections and repairs. This position will involve traveling throughout Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.

    Base Salary for the Leak Detection Technician:

    • Starting pay is $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience (equivalent to $42k - $52k annually)
    • Advancement and commission opportunities from there

    • Appreciate working a standard schedule, with occasional night jobs, as our customers might need
    • Able to perform intermittent, sometimes heavy, physical labor
    • Willing to travel for from time to time, as business needs require 
    • Open to potential relocation in the future should the opportunity arise

    In the job the leak detection technician be asked to do:

    • Leak detection on interior and exterior residential & commercial properties, pools and spas to diagnose the cause and origin of concealed leaks, structural leaks, and water infiltration damage
    • Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers on a daily basis
    • Provide professional, courteous customer service
    • Work outdoors & away from the office
    • Master underground line tracking, video, ultrasonic, and infrared technologies

    Desired Qualifications for the Leak Detection Technician:

    • Enjoy being in a job that rewards intuitive, hardworking, efficient people who have a keen eye for detail
    • Mechanically inclined, knows how to use a variety of tools
    • Any plumbing, mechanical, electronics experience and construction background is a big plus
    • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
    • Exceptional team player: energetic, goal-oriented, positive, optimistic, and with a great attitude!
    • Current driver’s license with an excellent driving record
    • Ability to create well-written and concise reports to effectively describe the leak issue
    • Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, self-starter, organized, and enjoys being self-directed
    • Ability to swim (diving certificate a plus)
    • Neat appearance, have a high standard of professionalism and character
    • Ability to take on physical work and capable of moving/lifting up to 50 pounds

    Education

    • High School or equivalent / some college education.
    • Has knowledge of Microsoft Office and solid computer skills.
    • Veterans from all branches are highly desired & encouraged to apply
