    Role Overview

    As a Surveillance Investigator, you'll embark on a dynamic journey where each day offers fresh challenges and opportunities. You'll play a pivotal role in gathering critical information, capturing clear and steady video footage, and delivering comprehensive reports. This involves both stationary and mobile surveillance where your investigative skills will be tested as you employ pretexting techniques to unveil more information.


    Surveillance Vehicle Requirements

    To ensure you blend seamlessly into your surroundings, you will be required to drive a company-approved vehicle, defined as a nondescript vehicle that does not attract attention or can be easily forgotten. Prohibited vehicle colors are red, yellow, orange, maroon, and other vibrant shades. Additionally, convertibles, pickup trucks, and electric vehicles are strictly prohibited. Hybrid vehicles are generally acceptable; however, approval is contingent upon evaluating gas mileage versus electric miles. Aftermarket wheels, loud exhaust, personalized license plates or license plate frames, and stickers on the bumpers or windows are also prohibited. All surveillance vehicles must have approved window tinting in compliance with state law. The vehicles must be safe and in good working condition, with investigators bearing the responsibility for maintaining their vehicles in optimal working order.

    Key Responsibilities and Role Expectations:
    • Discreetly monitor both stationary and mobile subjects, utilizing your own nondescript vehicle.
    • Capture high-quality video footage that not only meets client requirements but also adheres to court evidence standards.
    • Prepare and submit meticulous and timely summaries of case activity on a daily basis.
    • Deliver professional, expedient, and legal investigative services tailored to the specific needs and requests of our clients.
    • Conduct comprehensive case reviews to define objectives and verify critical information, including addresses, phone numbers, vehicle details, and other pertinent data.
    • Utilize cutting-edge online case management system to prepare concise, precise reports that comprehensively detail the progression of each investigation.
    • Maintain consistent, clear communication with management to relay real-time updates on case activities.


    Candidate Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Must own or have access to a discreet and mechanically reliable vehicle (Large SUVs, trucks, and bright colored vehicles are not suitable; earth-toned vehicles preferred)
    • Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnight travel, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the job
    • Must have a valid credit card for covering travel and gas expenses, with reimbursement provided
    • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean and safe driving record
    • Preferred degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
    • Preferred experience working in Loss Prevention
    • Veteran-friendly
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a strong advantage
    • Ownership of a Windows laptop computer with an up-to-date operating system.
    • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-reliance and resourcefulness.
    • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, travel, and long hours in the car as the job demands.
