Fraud Prevention Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraudulent transactions. Develops cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Manager approves and implements recommendations for process and procedure improvements. Reviews and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Manager ensures compliance with all relevant anti-fraud regulations and standards. Creates reports outlining trends, risks, and mitigation strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Fraud Prevention Associate I reviews potential fraudulent credit card transactions for the prevention and the detection of fraud in a card not present environment. The Fraud Prevention Associate authenticates transactions and customers in real time using multiple data sources and complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy. 

    Job Expectations:

    • Be responsible for monitoring numerous real-time queues, reviewing for risky transactions and other abuse methods 
    • Analyze customer accounts and transactions to identify and prevent fraudulent activity
    • Identify areas which require improvement and drive improvement of internal processes
    • Collaborate with multiple departments and teams to improve our fraud prevention strategy  
    • Research fraud and user behavior, both existing and emerging, contributing to improve fraud prevention mechanisms, processes and tools
    • Acquire strong knowledge of the world of fraud including prevention technologies and techniques
    • Dispute and manage Chargeback/dispute rates. Monitor and adapt to emerging trends
    • Team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge in remote environment
    • Flexibility to work various shifts

    Equipment Knowledge:

    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

    Experience Requirements:

    Generally requires one (1) year in fraud credit/debit cards investigations, preferably in an e-Commerce environment.

    Education Requirements: 

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Criminal Justice, Statistics, Banking, or related field required.
