OccuCare Injury Prevention is seeking an entrepreneurial minded Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Athletic Trainer who has experience or is interested in learning the fast-growing field of on-site injury prevention/injury elimination, therapy, and ergonomics. This is a fast paced and professionally rewarding position in that you will see employees who have sustained work-related incidents within hours of that incident happening and will be the primary source for eliminating that incident from becoming an injury and requiring further medical treatment.
PURPOSE:
The Injury Elimination Specialist will be an Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist responsible for providing early intervention/injury prevention, Physical/Occupational Therapy and ergonomic services on-site at local employers.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Provides on-site early intervention/injury prevention services working with an employee to determine the status of a musculoskeletal incident, collaborating with the employee to minimize/eliminate the musculoskeletal incident and work with the associated manager and employee on ergonomic improvements/risk mitigation strategies. The Injury Elimination Specialist will work within the OSHA First Aide Guidelines to minimize or eliminate the early signs and symptoms of work incident. The Injury Elimination Specialist will also work on-site with employees that have non-work-related injuries and provide traditional therapy services in a direct access model.
