Description of Work Unit

The mission of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) is to provide timely, accurate and pertinent animal disease diagnostic services and educational outreach to veterinarians, animal industries and animal interests. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory will strive to meet the goals of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) and the University through research to develop new approaches to disease identification, investigation, prevention and through education of professional veterinary medical, graduate and post-doctoral students.

Position Summary

• Make management decisions on all fronts associated with this project for successful execution.
• Developing optimal methodology by which to facilitate collection, record, manage and analyze data.
• Guide and train colleagues amongst NAHLN institutions to acquire necessary information.
• Develop and employ communication strategies to engage all subaward institutions.
• Establishing timelines and due dates in accordance with stakeholders and successfully accomplish all tasks by those due dates.
• Decision making on best analytical processes for application for both qualitative and quantitative assessment.
