Fundraising Coordinator coordinates operations to execute an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives supporting short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives.     This position is based in our southern region of NH - Bedford/Manchester

     

    Plays an integral role in raising funds and awareness for Dartmouth Health Children’s and CHaD through community fundraising events with a focus on customer service and participant and fundraising programs. The mission of Dartmouth Health Children’s is to provide each child the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time. The position helps foster and nurture relationships with event constituents within the programs and events that support this mission, with a large focus on the Southern New Hampshire region. In addition, the position serves as a key representative to the communities and stakeholders of Dartmouth Health Children’s provides fundraising platform and event planning support, as well as participates in the gift and donation processing efforts. The position also supports the Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center with customer service and donation administration efforts for the Prouty.

    Responsibilities

    Event Coordination (35%):

    Supports the execution of the Dartmouth Health Children’s and other community fundraising events in coordination with other team members.

  • Works with team members to coordinate and manage event committees
  • Procures, prepares or arranges needed materials, vendors and venues for various fundraising activities and events for Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center, as needed.
  • Provides on-site staff support before, during, and after in-person and virtual events, helping to ensure smooth execution of the event, providing excellent customer service to attendees, participants, volunteers, and donors.
  • Researches and recommends resources, tools, and materials to enhance events and fundraising efforts.

    Customer Service & Fundraising (65%):

    Provides top notch fundraising support and customer service to participants, donors, and volunteers utilizing Blackbaud Luminate Online/TeamRaiser website for Dartmouth Health fundraising events.

  • Serves as front-line customer service representative for community fundraising constituents and the general Dartmouth Health Children’s audience by offering support via email and phone.
  • Conducts fundraiser recruitment outreach and cultivation (phone, email and in-person) for Dartmouth Health fundraising events.
  • Collaborates on the development of the participant communication program and content strategy for Dartmouth Health Children’s events.
  • Coordinates event and participant communications program to ensure timely execution and messaging for Dartmouth Health Children’s events.
  • Responsible for donation data entry and management in the Blackbaud Luminate Online/TeamRaiser database from the RaisersEdge database for Dartmouth Health fundraising events.
  • Serves as ambassador for Dartmouth Health in frequent interactions with a wide range of internal and external constituents, including donors, volunteers, participants, Dartmouth/D-H professionals and staff, and a broad variety of contacts in the business community.
  • Supports additional Dartmouth Health Children’s and Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center participant and customer service efforts as needed.
  • Collaborates with event team and communications team to identify Ambassadors to support the marketing and engagement efforts for all Dartmouth Health Children’s and CHaD fundraising events.
  • Ensures appropriate cultivation and customer service is provided to Ambassadors and that proper documentation has been submitted for media and program needs.
  • Administration (10%):

  • Regularly handles confidential or sensitive information; exercises discretion concerning its disposition.
  • Creates and sends sponsorship invoices in a timely manner and tracks payments.
  • Supports team on budget reconciliation and expense tracking efforts
  • Interprets, applies, and explains office, department and Dartmouth Health policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or the equivalent in education and experience, required.
    • Prior experience in customer service, events management, public affairs, development or community relations office preferred.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently, assess priorities, and organize workload required.
    • Demonstrated word processing, database management, social media and spreadsheet computer skills preferred.
    • High-level organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast changing environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Brings joy and a sense of humor to the workplace.
    • Ability to work flexible schedule to support events and meetings on evenings and weekends.
