Fundraising Manager manages an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Fundraising and Event Manager

Reports to: Director of External Development
The Fundraising and Event Manager will further the mission of Shared Beginnings by thoughtfully executing our annual fundraising initiative. Shared Beginnings has a multifaceted approach to fundraising that includes: individual donations, foundations, private grants, government grants, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. This position works closely with the Director of External
Development to maintain positive mid and bottom tier donor relationships, the identification of new funding sources, and the strategic planning and execution of fundraising events. To be successful, we believe this person should be organized, have the ability to anticipate future needs and issues that may arise, and have the ability to work both independently and as a team.
Duties include (but not limited to):
General Fundraising
● Assists in the creation and/or adjustment of the annual fundraising plan
● Responsible for mid and bottom tier donor relationships through regular and consistent communication about organizational wins, as well as showing appreciation for their partnership
● Ensures professionalism in all individual and business relationships
● Works regularly within the donor and event management systems to ensure records are accurate and up to date
● Researches and identifies potential funding opportunities from relevant sources: grants, donors, corporate sponsors, community sponsors and foundations
● Works cross functionally to understand needs of the organization
● Creates and presents funding proposals for program grants and specific donor/foundation asks that are relevant and fall within the organization’s mission and vision
● Obtains in-kind donations that are useful to the organization, our clients, and/or events
● Responsible for in-kind donation tracking
Fundraising Events
● Oversees the strategic planning and execution of fundraising events alongside the Executive
Director and Director of Development
● Effectively communicates task updates and progress toward event goals
● Responsible for securing and managing event vendors, while staying within event budgets
● Oversees efforts to recruit, train and engage volunteers for fundraising events
● Oversees day of event coordination and operation
● Responsible for applicable progress and final reporting to internal and external stakeholders for fundraisers
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in fundraising- NWA fundraising preferred
● Experience grant management, grant writing, or grant compliance
● Experience in event management
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree in communication, business management, marketing or related field or experience.
