Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager to join our team. As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships, and coordinating events to support our organization's mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, strategic planning, and relationship management.
Duties:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities to secure funding for programs and initiatives
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including logistics, marketing, and volunteer management
- Conduct research on potential funding sources and stay updated on industry trends
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop effective communication materials for fundraising campaigns
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record keeping
- Implement email marketing campaigns to engage donors and supporters
- Collaborate with Board of Directors and Executive Director to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in grant writing, strategic planning, and relationship management
- Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector and fundraising best practices
- Knowledge of Religious nonprofits a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software
- Experience in events management and public relations is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
