Gas Supply Manager manages the supply and purchase of natural gas to meet company needs. Negotiates contracts with approved sources to maintain adequate supply and ensure favorable terms. Being a Gas Supply Manager forecasts change in prices in order to maintain company fuel investments. Coordinates proper transportation and storage of gas supplies. Additionally, Gas Supply Manager maintains business relationships with suppliers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Gas Supply Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of nursery operations, including plant care, inventory management, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize plant health and growth.
- Train and supervise nursery staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of plant inventory, sales, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality plants.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with plant selection and providing care instructions.
- Create visually appealing displays to showcase plants and attract customers.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the nursery.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a nursery or horticulture-related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plants, including identification, care requirements, and common pests/diseases.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers of all backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage inventory and records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
