Job Summary:

The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use walking-type or riding mowers to cut grass.

• Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance.

• Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees.

• Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees.

• Perform general grounds policing to pick up litter.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.

• Minimum two years of related work experience.

• Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade.

• Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade.

• Possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.

• Must be able to pass a NCIC background check.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience performing similar work at a military base.
