General Laborer performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, digging, and moving materials. Operates a variety of tools to complete assignments according to internal and external policies and regulations. Being a General Laborer assembles and disassembles machines, tools, and other work-related equipment. Assists engineers and a variety of other functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Additionally, General Laborer may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The General Laborer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Key Responsibilities

    • This is a 100% travel job; travel is provided in company vehicles
    • No experience is necessary - W-S Industrial will train the right candidate
    • Assists in maintaining an organized set of supplies and equipment
    • Ensures equipment is placed and returned to its proper storage location
    • Consistently keeps a clean, well-maintained, and organized work area
    • Always complies with all safety requirements
    • Complies with all company policies, and safety practices
    • Work productively as a member of the team
    • These responsibilities are subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned

    What does it take to work for W-S Companies?

    • No experience is necessary - W-S Industrial will train the right candidate
    • Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if required
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Must have acceptable ID, pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Possession of a TWIC card is a plus but not necessary
    • Understand verbal and written instructions, basic math, and safety skills
    • Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 Ibs. on occasion
    • May reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently
    • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on occasion
    • Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas
    • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently
    • Will climb and move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas while maintaining balance
    • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
