Description:

• Geotechnical Engineer in the field at least 70% of the time (this is for a candidate with 3 years, would be less field work the more experience you have!)
• Performing geotechnical support to commercial and residential projects throughout NYC, perform inspections
• Field work including soil sampling, coring, and soil boring
• Familiarity with AutoCAD to design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems
• Other geotechnical software including but not limited to gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, SHAK is a PLUS!!!!
• Geotechnical report writing including SOE, retaining walls, load test details, field forms/ standard logs, soil/ rock classifications, drilling logs, and calculation

Skills:

• Geotechnical engineering and inspections
• Soil boring
• Drilling
• Test pits
• Excavation/ Deep foundation
• AutoCAD
• Geotechnical analysis/ report writing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• EIT OR PE preferred but not required
• Master's Degree preferred but not required
• OSHA SST, OSHA 40 Hazwoper, OSHA 30 will be required to start but will be provided if needed
• AutoCAD/ other softwares including Slide/ SLOPE/ LPile etc. are a PLUS!!
