ABOUT THE POSITION

Environmental Scientist/GIS Analyst | New York | NY

VHB is seeking an emerging professional environmental scientist for our growing National Site Investigation & Remediation practice.

Responsibilities

Assists with spatial analysis of environmental laboratory and field data using ArcGIS mapping and dashboarding tools.
• Helps create compelling graphical representations that support the development of conceptual site models.
• Helps to develop dashboard-level access to data and graphics that allow engineer and scientist colleagues to analyze and interpret environmental data.
• Leverages available tools to support field teams with electronic acquisition of site data.
• Assists senior scientists, geologists, and engineers with a variety of tasks (e.g., preparation of permit applications and technical presentations).
• Writes technical reports, correspondence, notes and memoranda.

Skills and Attributes

• ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom); Microsoft Suite
• Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients
• Problem solve and work independently

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Science
• 1 years of environmental consulting experience

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York, NY is $65,000 - $70,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
