Glazier installs glass in windows, skylights, store fronts, and display cases, or on surfaces such as building fronts, interior walls, ceilings, and tabletops. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glazier may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glazier relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work will be in residential and commercial construction. Windows, doors, mirrors, shower doors, hardware, railings, commercial storefront, and other glass-related items. The job requires the ability to fabricate and do installations.
Must have a great attitude, able to work with fellow employees.
Requires a great work ethic. I prefer some construction or carpentry experience.
Door and window installation experience helpful. We can train.
