This key leadership position of Global Logistics Manager is responsible for setting the overall logistics and compliance strategies for AGC Chemicals Americas while directly overseeing the overall logistics functions including import and export shipping and compliance, domestic transportation, and warehousing for the business units within AGCCA.

Essential Functions:

• Manages team of professional logistics associates.
• Oversees all import/export shipments for regulatory compliance, and reporting purposes.
• Oversees all domestic transportation and 3PL activities.
• Develops and executes a comprehensive duty drawback/duty minimization strategy for AGCCA.
• Serves as Export Administrator responsible for overseeing AGCCA Export Compliance Program.
• Monitors the customs procedures for AGCCA to ensure compliance for all imported shipments.
• Reviews import/export law changes pertaining to AGCCA and recommends actions if required.
• Audits customs entries for proper tariff classifications, relationship status, valuations and assessed duty rates.
• Educates AGCCA associates on both Customs Compliance import and export rules and ensures the company is within Reasonable Care of these rules and regulations.
• Oversees the procurement of import/export services (i.e. forwarders, brokers, ocean carriers, etc.)
• Oversees SCM strategy for AGCCA expansion into emerging markets and advises Business Managers accordingly.
• Cooperates with Commercial Team to improve delivery times, warehouse efficiencies, and customer satisfaction.
• Completes special assignments as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Extensive experience in logistics and with International Customs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and analytical skills, computer skills, prior work with ERP systems a plus
• Proven leadership experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Chemical Industry Experience is considered a plus.
• US Customs Broker’s license is considered a plus.
• Some travel required.
