Golf Superintendent - Assistant assists the Superintendent in the overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Supervises personnel and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths. Being a Golf Superintendent - Assistant ensures adherence to golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. May serve in the Superintendent's capacity during absence. Additionally, Golf Superintendent - Assistant may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a golf course superintendent. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Oneida Golf and Country Club Grounds department is a department within the golf course specializing in creating inspiring gardens and landscapes for members and visitors to the course. We are a small group of employees and within the horticultural department we are involved in every aspect from plant propagation and transplants to landscape installation and garden maintenance.
Currently, we are seeking an organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic landscaper/horticulturist assistant with the skills to immediately contribute to our team. The position would be a good fit for individuals that have strong plant interests, gardening experience and are looking to grow their skills and knowledge.
