Government Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales to government agencies. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Being a Government Sales Manager evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, Government Sales Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Government Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Government Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our company is seeking a personable, professional Government Inside Sales Administrator (non-commission) to join and grow with our team. This full-time position requires the following:

    • Strong analytical as well as communication skills
    • Can Work as a team as well as individually
    • Multitask and meet deadlines
    • Meticulous record keeping ability
    • To be successful in this position, the representative will learn the Company’s policies and procedures and be well-versed in our government agreements.
    • Understanding the intricacies of our customers’ buying process and the company’s product lines will be critical responding to government requests for product
    • Government procurement experience is a plus

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support government and vendor partners through ongoing communication including quoting, responding to opportunities and rep follow-up
    • Support sales team members with current and ongoing tasks including pricing and sales processing
    • Develop new leads and reaching out to potential customers
    • Routing potential opportunities to appropriate sales team member.
    • Analyze sales date
    • Submit reports to various individuals, including state and federal taxes
    • Customer service backup
    • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers
    • Assist in managing/updating the company’s Government Contract item and price lists
    • Able to use MS Office; Outlook, Excel and Word on a daily basis. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software a plus

    The goal of this position is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to both internal and external clients and maintain high customer satisfaction.

    Requirements:

    • Associate/Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business related field
    • 3 years inside sales or office experience
    • Ability to always remain professional and courteous.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and remain current on short- and long-range issues. Strong organizational skills needed. Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Microsoft skills – excel (proficient), word, PowerPoint.
    • Can work as a team or individually.
    • High attention to detail
    • Government procurement experience a plus
    • Office hours 8:00 – 4:30 M-F.
    • Candidates selected will be required to meet US Homeland Security I-9 verification for employment.
