Government Sales Manager jobs in New York

Government Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales to government agencies. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Being a Government Sales Manager evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, Government Sales Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Government Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Government Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with government decision-makers. Understand their needs, challenges, and procurement processes to effectively position our products/services.
    • Quoting and Proposal Generation: Prepare accurate and timely quotes for government projects. Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals that address the specific requirements of government clients.
    • Customer Support: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, quote requests, and concerns. Provide detailed information about our products/services and assist customers throughout the buying process.
    • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and documentation requirements. Maintain accurate records of interactions, quotes, and contracts with government customers.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $81,347.00 per year
