    Description of the Position 

    The Director of Admissions at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is a member of the Admissions team and is the senior leader for Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions.? He/she will lead the relational sales and recruitment efforts of the graduate admissions team, supporting and guiding overall recruitment, sales and communication strategies for prospective students.  


    The Director of Admissions leads, supervises and trains the staff of the Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions Office.? This position is an Exempt, full-time, 12-month position and reports to the VP of Enrollment Management

    Essential Functions 

    • Develops and coordinates Graduate and Professional Studies admissions sales and recruitment strategies that support the efforts of Admissions Counselors, Colleges and Departments, Athletics, Alumni, Trustees and other constituencies. 
    • Coordinates with the Vice President of Enrollment Management and the Marketing team to ensure consistent communication to students, families and stakeholders, creating a strong relational sales process. 
    • Assists in the analysis and cultivation of "funnel development" for prospective students, formulating the best approach to move students through the funnel to enrollment 
    • Develops procedures to ensure compliance with admissions standards, policies, regulations, practices and procedures in consultation with the Vice President of Enrollment Management. 
    • Oversees the department budget and directing of its appropriate expenditures. 
    • Manages Admissions Team work-flow assignments, coordinates technical and professional assignments, operation schedules, and delivery of admissions-related services to constituencies. 
    • Develops contact networks with appropriate professional organizations, companies, and colleges to promote visibility of NNU and represent the University in these settings. 
    • Develops and executes a multi-year recruitment and sales strategic plan including travel, communications (written, social media, calls, texts, etc.), campus visits and all other aspects of student recruitment. 
    • Partners with Program Directors and Coordinators to ensure a seamless handoff of students from acceptance to enrollment. 
    • Partners with Program Directors to recruit and enroll a class that meets all admissions standards in the catalog and required by accrediting bodies. 
    • Plans and directs campus recruitment events such as information sessions, interviews, group visits and individual visits. 
    • Coordinates with the CRM Manager on the continued implementation and resourcing of NNU's CRM systems. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned.  

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Bachelor's degree required 
    • A minimum of 5 years of sales, marketing or recruitment experience required, non-profit or higher education experience preferred  
    • Team leadership experience highly preferred, including the direct supervision of a team  
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience with CRM systems (Slate, Sales Force, Ellucian, Workforce, etc.) 
    • Ability to self-start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines in?a deadline-oriented environment, work with minimal supervision, flex with change, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances 
    • Capacity to think strategically and work creatively, and skills to bring initiatives to fruition 
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms

    Compensation  

    Salary is determined by the educational background and experience of each applicant.
