Grants/Proposal Manager manages the grant and proposal research and writing operations to develop effective grant submissions and obtain funding for the organization. Leads the research efforts to identify grant opportunities and proposal requirements. Being a Grants/Proposal Manager negotiates contractual provisions with potential partners. Advises grant writers on governmental agencies and institutions' complex or unique proposal requirements. Additionally, Grants/Proposal Manager develops an overall grant calendar and project management procedures to track all grant activity and timelines. Establishes a quality review process and guidelines to ensure grant proposals are complete and in compliance with all requirements. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Grants/Proposal Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Grants/Proposal Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Restaurant General Manager will be responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities and assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. He or she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including sales, fiscal operations, accounting, recruitment, and maintenance of the building and equipment

Business Strategy and Development:- Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
- Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, events, and partnerships to enhance the overall guest experience and market presence.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective marketing campaigns and promotions to attract new clientele and retain existing guests.
- Participate in budget planning, financial reporting, and analysis to control costs and maximize profitability.
- Set financial goals, monitor performance against targets, and implement
- Manage labor costs, liquor costs, and other controllable expenses to maintain optimal financial performance.
- Be able to give monthly reporting and analysis of final financial results with plan and strategy for improvement.
- Lead recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members, ensuring they are aligned with the restaurant’s brand and service standards.
- Support and lead the development and implementation of staff training programs to enhance skills and promote a culture of excellence.
- Coordinate and oversee staff training programs to ensure all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to provide exceptional service.
- Encourage professional growth and career development opportunities for the team.
- Provide leadership and direction to all departments, including hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, and barbacks.

- Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review performance, address challenges, and set objectives.
- Ensure the restaurant's operations run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee guest relations and handle escalated customer service issues to ensure swift resolution and a positive guest experience.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor to exceed each customer’s expectations of our establishment.

- Implement and enforce health and safety procedures, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in all Marketing related initiatives. Understand reasons behind and methods of marketing.
- Join and participate actively in one or more Chicago social events per week and become highly attuned to the local economic and competitive environment.
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute special events, ensuring they align with the brand and enhance overall revenue and guest engagement.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, secure quality products, and optimize pricing.
- Maintain the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall ambiance.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards in all areas of the restaurant.
- Proven experience in a senior management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry, preferably as a General Manager.
- Strong sales and marketing acumen, with a track record of driving revenue
- Exceptional financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Effective leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with staff and guests.
- Extensive knowledge of nightlife operations, event planning, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
