Ensures each grant-writing project complies with the funder's policies, formats, timelines, reporting, and legal requirements. Additionally, Grants/Proposal Writer may participate in the negotiation of contractual provisions with potential partners. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants/Proposal Writer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Our client is an award winning global integrator.  They are in need of a Marketing Specialist / Technical Writer to support a major organization within our Armed Forces. In this role, you will maintain a robust Strategic Communications capability that supports leadership in seminars, speeches, briefings etc. 

     

    This role is ONSITE at Joint Base Pearl Harbor / Hickam, HI and candidates must be local.

     

    Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens, eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in and facilitating, meetings/forums, working groups, committees, panels/sub-panels, boards, etc.
    • Coordinate, consolidate, develop and deliver/present associated meeting materials (e.g. slides, after action reports, minutes).
    • Develop scripts, speeches, articles, and digital correspondence to enable leadership to communicate strategic messages
    • Provide a robust, professional quality, design and virtual engagements including: program development, story board development, professional production of deliverables, and other actions required to produce and display virtual engagements/events worldwide
    • Assist with event production and delivery/broadcast capability
    • Assist with social media.

    Qualifications

    • 3 years of Technical Writing experience
    • Social Media experience preferred
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Word
    • DoD Public Affairs experience is a plus!
