Graphic Design Specialist designs and produces graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media. Ensures that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices. Being a Graphic Design Specialist creates and executes design solutions and collateral used for marketing, advertising, sales, and other forms of communication. Coordinates with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver projects on time and budget. Additionally, Graphic Design Specialist experienced using a variety of design and editing tools and software such as Adobe. Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design and production management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Graphic Design Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences invites applications for a temporary, full time, 9-month teaching position in Graphic Design, beginning on August 16, 2024. The successful candidate will teach six courses (24 credits), including Graphic Design I, Graphic Design II, Two-Dimensional Design, and Introduction to Typography in the Department of Art, Art History, and Architecture. They will also oversee supplies and equipment in the Mac-based Graphic Design studio.

Qualifications: An MFA in Graphic Design or closely related field is required. If the MFA is not in Graphic Design, significant professional design experience is expected. Candidates must have a fluency in Mac OS, Adobe CC, and other industry-standard design software. Candidates who have college-level teaching experience are preferred.

Full time bargaining unit employees are all limited term faculty teaching term appointments on a full-time non-tenured and non-tenure track basis employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus.
