Graphic Design Specialist jobs in Waldorf, MD

Valiant is seeking Graphics Design and Publication Specialists to provide support to an Intelligence Community program in the Northern Virginia area.

• Job duties may include: Design infographics.
• Design and develop interactive pdfs; presentations and motion graphics; and publications and brochures.
• Design corporate identity collateral including logos and seals, coin design and presentation templates.
• Design exhibits, displays, posters and wall graphics.
• Design content for Signage systems, examples of which include digital advertising boards, digital message tickler boards and Lucite holders to display hardcopy content.
• Collaborate and coordinate production with print and fabrications specialists and vendor support.
• Assist with the development and production of communication materials such as: a. Memoranda, informal and formal letters, emails and web postings b. Visual schematics of ideas c. Briefing content d. Video and audio presentations/recordings

Requirements:

• Degree in Graphic Design or related field or experience.
• Demonstrated experience identifying and communicating project status and managing priorities.
• Demonstrated experience with graphic design principles and best practices using page layout, typography and hierarchy to visually present information and emphasize specific information and data.
• Demonstrated experience handling multiple projects with varying timelines and importance.
• Demonstrated experience driving projects from inception to final product.
• Demonstrated experience developing mock ups, storyboards and finals.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Some Positions May Require:

• Demonstrated experience using content management systems such as SharePoint and WordPress to design and develop websites for the presentation and sharing of information, schedules, documents, presentations and calendars.
• Demonstrated experience writing and editing HTML and CSS3 files to enhance structure, design and accessibility of web pages and sites.
• Demonstrated experience creating accessible websites.
• Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office applications to create a variety of print, web and digital deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience implementing user centric interactive designs and digital presentations comprised of photographs, video clips and motion graphics.
