Minimum Qualifications: BFA or BS degree in Graphic Design; at least 5 years of professional experience in the area of graphic design; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software including illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. The preferred candidate will have prior college teaching experience, especially with diverse students. Previous experience and/or willingness to engage in distance learning is also preferred.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Portfolio that demonstrates success in professional practice.
Broad understanding of graphic design, design history, design process and contemporary design issues.
• Strong skills in typography.
• Excellent knowledge of the Adobe suite.
• High level of technical proficiency with graphic design related hardware (scanners, large format printers, and drawing tablets).
• Experience with a diverse student body.
• Understanding of web design, UX/UI, app design and motion graphics a plus.
The Salary is $1,340.00 per contact hour.
