Grocery Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of a grocery store. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. To be a Grocery Store Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this retail location. He or she will open and close the center, manage productivity and ensure the center’s team delivers world-class customer service to all customers.

    The ideal candidate has a post high school education (college coursework or a degree), two years of retail store operations experience, strong supervisory/managerial/leadership skills, excellent computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to “listen and lead.” He or she must have a dynamic personality and must be able to motivate a team to optimize performance.

    The  UPS Store Manager delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for shipment, operating copiers, printers, fax machine, binding machine, laminating equipment, and point of sale devices.  An excelled knowledge of computers and printing is highly recommended. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates. Schedules work assignments. Monitors, evaluates and maximizes customer service delivery and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements the store marketing program. Manages inventory. Oversees Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Process Amazon returns, happy returns, cable, internet and phone returns and drop-off packages.
    • Process shipping packages and provide expert packing when requested. 
    • Process mail-box package logging in and signing off.
    • Make color and black and white copies
    • Print labels from the emails sent by customers to the store email address
    • Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries. Pleasantly greet and direct customers and make them feel at home. Always be polite and patient with all customers.
    • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
    • Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
    • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
    • Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
    • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
    • Coordinate with team members to provide excellent customer service. Maintain great and ethical work relationship with colleagues.

    • Learn skills required to work at the UPS store via online training. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Some college education is preferred. High school diploma or GED required
    • Previous store management experience required, 
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
    • Outstanding phone skills, de-escalation and problem solving skills
    • Bona fide management/leadership skills
    • Willing to accept full accountability for Center operations
    • Understanding of the retail sales process and POS (point of sale) systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, counting and spelling skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
    • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
    • Flexibility to work various shifts
    • Prompt, reliable and responsibly 
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites. Ability to operate all equipment, software and devices. Training is provided.

      Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
