Additionally, Groundskeeper is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the apartment community, including buildings, landscaping, parking lots/structures, trash areas and common areas, and performs a range of duties to include but not limited to; painting, cleaning, removing items left behind in vacated homes, and pool maintenance.
