Groundskeeper jobs in Sun Valley, NV
Groundskeeper cuts and maintains lawns and grass. Rakes leaves and cares for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Being a Groundskeeper determines the appropriate plants or shrubs for walkways or garden areas. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Additionally, Groundskeeper is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to take care of our facility. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This includes performing various landscaping and groundskeeping tasks to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.Responsibilities:
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration
- Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from outdoor areas
- Operate hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Assist with the installation of new landscaping features
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environmentExperience:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and practices
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in groundskeeping
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsThis position is a contracting position for the upkeep of our cemetery, work hours will depend on seasonality and to be scheduled in a flexibly.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
