  • The Account Manager will be responsible for the market growth of TDSG through the sales of the products and services that support dairymen throughout our region. They must possess a strong understanding of the sales process which includes generating leads, educating interested customers, building relationships, and closing deals through the completion of sales contracts. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to display our offerings in a compelling way that best serves the customer and will promote and maintain a high level of communication while collaborating with various departments within the local organization.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    This is not a comprehensive list of all functions, duties and responsibilities and the incumbent may be assigned duties, which are not listed below. This job description may be subject to change as needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Build and maintain a strong understanding and knowledge of available products and services provided to identify how our solutions meet our customer’s needs.
    • Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing your daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities. Cold calling is a considerable expectation of this function.
    • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
    • Reports on the status of accounts and transactions.
    • Prepares professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals and other documentation as required.
    • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to customers.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
    • Plan, control and manage initiatives to meet department goals and objectives to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Must possess the ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential and expected.
    • Any and all other duties as assigned by Management.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3-5 years hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Must be knowledgeable and understand the industry and the company’s product or service in order to develop better offers that deliver greater value to both the client and the business.
    • Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
    • Must be results-oriented and have good business insight and judgement.
    • Must have the ability to multi-task and manage several client accounts.
    • Strong organizational skills.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
