Group Branch Manager manages the financial and service performance of a defined group of retail branches in a geographic area. Establishes the strategy, specific goals, and performance levels required for each branch to meet the organizational objectives for the region. Being a Group Branch Manager monitors and analyzes financial and customer activity to understand needs, identify issues, and provide the tools and resources needed to achieve goals. Leads business development and promotional activities in the area and coaches branch managers in tactics to build customer relationships, increase sales, and enhance the bank's presence in the community. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with the Branch Operations Manager as field representative for existing SEGs (Selected
Employee Groups) and throughout the community for prospective members to develop new membership.
2. Work with Marketing Department to keep displays, brochures, etc., current and up to date.
3. Exercise administrative control over functions of the branch, including implementation of credit union policies and compliance with State and Federal regulations.
4. Ensure adequate controls on funds dispersed and received by the credit union.
5. Maintain prescribed security control to protect the facility against criminal and fraudulent risk or exposure.
6. Attend to the needs of members including teller transactions, opening new accounts, certifying checks, and handling member complaints.
7. Assist members with online banking, resetting of passwords on Telco teller, mobile banking and home banking, responding to members inquires on ATM’s or Debit cards, etc.
8. Perform duties of a MSR or teller as needed. Assisting in resolution of account problems and provide information to members.
9. Perform Notary Public functions.
10. Assist Collection/Recovery Officer with collections.
11. Responsible for receiving and making wire transfers through the accounting department.
Receives, verifies, processes, and distributes incoming transfers within established procedures.
12. Ensure that branch is adequately staffed for efficient branch operation at all times.
13. Monitor office activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, new accounts, etc.
14. Monitor key products/sales within branches to ensure profitable and sound business practices for the credit union, a high quality of service for members, and employees are maximizing opportunities to cross-sell products.
15. Responsible for training, coaching and monthly one on ones of branch employees. Responsible for completing performance appraisals for employee in a timely manner. Make recommendations regarding employment, promotions, transfers, salary changes and terminations in branches.
16. Ensures that the Branch image is favorable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employees prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere for members, including privacy, confidentiality, and ease of use.
17. Responsible for janitorial, landscape and overall maintenance of facilities. Coordinates with branch staff for janitorial/housekeeping/cleaning duties. Responsible for coordinating with maintenance & security specialist for maintenance and repairs as necessary.
18. Complete educational and training programs in accordance with supervisor directions.
19. Responsible of assigning training for employees to help them grow as a credit union professional.
This includes helping employees complete their training certifications & deployment plans.
20. To hold weekly meetings with all branch employees.
21. Ensure all teammates are in dress code and name tag on at all times.
22. Performs other assigned duties as needed in order to satisfy membership needs and discharge the business requirements of the credit union.
