About the position:

We are looking for a high-energy and passionate Fitness Coach to work with some of the most amazing people in a uniquely dynamic environment. The selected individual will be responsible for delivering the scientifically pre-designed workouts for up to 28-42 clients per session whose fitness and ability levels vary significantly. The energy and enthusiasm you bring each and every day will ensure we provide fantastic experiences for our clients.

An OTF Coach must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client's experience and results. Ideal candidates will have an Exercise Science or Kinesiology background and must have a current fitness certification. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of 28 - 42 members.
• Energize and motivate clients throughout the sessions.
• Build OTF attendance while retaining current clientele.
• Ensure safety of participants in regards to heart rate and exercise technique.
• Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
• Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations.
• Must be able to participate in 1-2 OTF scheduled workouts per week.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High level of confidence with no ego.
• Must hold a current fitness certification from one of the following OTF approved accredited organizations: NCSA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA or NASM.
• CPR/AED certification 1 years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry.
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Available weekends, holidays (not Christmas day) and college Football Saturdays

Essential functions of the job. Ability to:

• Adjust communication style to accommodate diverse audiences.
• Maintain high level of energy and enthusiasm for long periods (up to four classes in a row) daily
• Use a microphone to amplify voice as you direct a group of people
• Model physical activity in front of a class of people: bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs), running, squatting, rowing, pulling, jumping.
• Stand for long periods of time, moving around constantly (up to four classes in a row).

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
