Pursuant to California regulation, the compensation for this position is $75,000 annually, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
Position Summary
Our Amwins Access Admitted Placement Services (APS) is designed to guide participants through an intensive 2.5-year professional development program, where candidates will participate in technical and sales workshops, on the job training, mentoring, and attendance at industry events. The program is designed to accelerate candidates toward a career as a Production Underwriter at Amwins Access, where they will be responsible for building and maintaining a book of business through Sales and Underwriting.
This position will be in person in our Roseville, CA office with the occasional travel to our regional offices for additional training.
Upon graduation of the 2.5 Year UDP program, duties of the Production Underwriter role will include:
- Successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business (heavily sales focused)
- Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies
- Remain up to date with new insurance companies' offers and how to leverage them
- Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write with sales techniques based in trust and relationship building
- Mentor and train new team members

What we are looking for:
- Higher education preferred
- Less than 3 years of insurance experience, preferred no prior underwriting experience
- Individuals who desire and can hit metrics throughout the entire training program within a sales environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit
