Group Underwriting Manager jobs in Massachusetts

A leading insurance company in downtown Boston is looking for an underwriting assistant. This person must be able to work onsite 3 days a week. It is a contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time employee. This is an excellent opportunity to spearhead your career progression.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate customer and agent inquiries, escalating issues to the Supervisor when necessary.
• Enter and update policy details accurately and promptly following established procedures, handling phone inquiries as well.
• Efficiently manage time and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Address questions about policies, coverages, and premiums, ensuring thorough follow-up on all interactions.
• Strive for first-call resolution and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Conduct research and initiate changes or corrections to customer policies following established procedures and using sound business judgment.
• Meet or exceed customer and agent expectations by delivering professional, efficient service, demonstrating product knowledge, and fostering positive interactions.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal, listening, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in analytical thinking and decision-making.
• Experience with SQL.
• High energy and motivation to follow up and take ownership of tasks.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree.
