Groupware Specialist oversees the development and deployment of the organization's groupware initiative. Defines business requirements and selects collaborative software to meet these requirements. Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Groupware Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Biologist-Environmental Compliance Specialist

We are currently seeking a Biologist -Environmental Compliance Specialist to work in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office.

    We are in search of a highly motivated team member to join our family of engineers and scientists who has a strong interest and skillset including multi-tasking skills in order to support a wide variety of challenging and complex water resources projects in the southwest and throughout the nation. There are also opportunities for future advancement in this position.

     

    Your Role:

    • Assisting team members with conducting field surveys for vegetation, wildlife, and wildlife habitat
    • Evaluating field survey findings to develop environmental permit documentation
    • Completing permit documentation based upon experience with: Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act
    • Stream, river, wetland, and riparian restoration planning
    • Performing wetland delineations
    • GIS based mapping and analysis
    • Management of projects including leading technical components, planning and leading field surveys
    • Project management including tracking budgets and client coordination
    • Assist in business development for biological/environmental work

     

    Qualifications:

    • BS in Biology/Natural Resources and at least 3-5 years of professional experience (or more) OR
    • MS in Biology/Natural Resources and at least 2-3 years of professional experience in environmental science including surveying, monitoring and permitting, delineation of wetlands, and restoration
    • Experience preparing reports, NEPA, CWA and ESA documentation;
    • Knowledge of local plant, fish and/or wildlife species and their habitat requirements;
    • Experience developing habitat assessment, mitigation and/or monitoring plans; 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; 
    • Experience with GIS; 
    • Experience with field data collection equipment including GPS
